Obituary

Daniel Ray Reams, 64, of Murphysboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at Barnes-Jewish Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

Daniel was born on September 13, 1955, in DuQuoin, Illinois to Elsie Reams and Thelma (Messer) Reams.

Mr. Reams served in the U.S. Army.

He worked as a machinist at Penn-Aluminum in Murphysboro.

Daniel liked watching scary movies and he loved country music and has been listening to it for all his life. He enjoyed riding around Lake Murphysboro, and he was quite the jokester with family and friends

He is survived by three children Joshua Reams, Hollie Reams, and Nicolas Reams, all of Murphysboro

the love of his life and best friend Mary Jones;

five step children Donald Tate, Rusty Tate, Brandon Tate, Angie Tate, and Kristen Jackson, all of Murphysboro;

twelve grandchildren

four brothers and two sisters Virginia (Fred) Overton of Elkville, Marguerite "Margieā€ (Ken) Chaundy of DeSoto, Joey (Cheryl) Reams of DuQuoin, Ron (Jane Horn) Reams of Dowell, Tom (Tracey Cobin) Reams of Elkville, and Larry (Charlotte) Reams of DeSoto;

one brother in law Tom Carter of DeSoto;

and many nieces and nephews.

HE WAS LOVED BY ALL!

His body will be cremated, and then Memorial Gravesite services will take place at Evergreen Cemetery of
Makanda.

Memorial Gravesite services will be held at 11 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery in Makanda, IL. Rev Rick Sutton will officiate. For more information please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com
