Ernie was always around when I was a kid in Murphysboro. He was a gentle guy, he loved his family, and I spent a lot of time with his sons Mark and Larry. Pauline was always laughing and enjoyed the quiet support of Ernie. It seems a small thing, but he was just always there... when we played music... when we worked on photography... when we were just being kids. His quiet smile will always be with me. Rest in Peace, Ernie... you were one of the good guys!!
