Jacqueline Alice Betancourt, 68, of Murphysboro, passed away at her residence in Murphysboro at 12:49 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Jacqueline was born on March 15, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, to Hubert Glenn Jay, Jr. and Joan Marie (Rapstein) Jay.

She had worked as a data-labeler at Glister-Mary Lee.

She loved to scratch off Lottery tickets.

Jacqueline is survived by one daughter Jeanine Franklin of Carbondale;

four grandchildren Jazmen A. Betancourt, Jayvyon R. Betancourt, Jayzzah M. Betancourt, and Evander "Bryce" Jiles;

one great grandchild Kamari Alea-brea Hollbroke and one on the way to be named Willow Alece Rose Betancourt;

two brothers Hubert Glenn Jay, III of Schaumburg, IL and Scott Jay of Brookfield, IL;

and one sister Barbara Chakmakjian, Brookfield, IL.

She was preceded in death by one brother and her parents.

Her body has been cremated and there will services at a later date.
