Joe enjoyed working in his bees and helped several other beekeepers get started as well. He also helped build his local community parks. He loved his camping trips with family, friends, and just the guys. He was an outstanding cook and baker. He passed on his love of desserts to Lindsey, Brielle, and Caiden.

The family of Joe Porter, I grew up in Harrison hanging around with Dean and Dennis Ebersolh, will always have great memories of our hikes on Saturdays or Sundays, and our camping trips. My sympathy to you all.

To Sharon, Lindsey and family, I knew Joe for more than 20 years as a coworker and at one point as his boss. He was the best of employees and a good friend. We worked together on a high stress project during which I admired Joe's calm approach to work that stressed out others. It's hard to believe he's gone. Too young, too soon. You have my heartfelt condolences. Joe will be missed. - Jim Gaul
