Lawrence E. Clover, 79, of Gorham, Illinois, passed away at 10:23 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2020, at St. Louis University Hospital, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Lawrence was born on July 9, 1941, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Lawrence William Clover and Pauline (Nipper) Clover.

He had worked for at least twenty-four years at Calcrest Factory as a cutter.

Mr. Clover loved to go to shooting matches, and enjoyed circle track racing. He especially enjoyed going to the sporting events of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved singing karaoke.

He married Karen Mansikka on July 9, 2012, in Murphysboro and she survives.

Other survivors includes 3 children Dwayne Edward (Patty) Clover of Gorham, Pam Moss of Murphysboro, Bryan (Rebecca) Clover of Murphysboro;

four step children Daphne Baase of Saginaw, MI, Jeff (Mary) Cook of Swartz Creek, MI, Rick Cook and Amy (Josh) Dwight, all of Murphysboro;

several grandchildren including six grandchildren Billy Clover, Felica Sudmeyer, Darrick Clover, Bryce Clover, Bridgett Clover, and Yazmin Clover and a multitude of great grandchildren;

and two brothers Richard Smith of Herrin and Kenneth Clover of Hallidayboro.

He was preceded in death by one sister Karen Collins, his parents, and his first wife Thelma (Ticer) Clover.

Gravesite services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020, at the Alto Pass Cemetery with Rev. Gary Darnell officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rhematoid Arthritis Foundation or to the famiiy.
