Obituary

Ethel Mae Clutts took her walk through the eternal gates of heaven at 3: 27 A.M. on January 25, 2020 at home with family.

Mae was born on October 1, 1939, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Floyd Childers and Pauline (Dameron) Childers. She is one of 11 children.

She married William (Bill) Clutts on March 9th 1958.

Mae was a Walmart employee for 23 years here in Murphysboro, where she gained many new friends and many she claimed as her family.

Mrs. Clutts was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship in Murphysboro. As a devout Pentecostal, her faith was unshakable. If she was praying for you, you could feel the presence of the Lord and you had just gained a new friend.

Mae is survived by four children Linda Morland, Bob Clutts (Mary), Mike Clutts (Terri) and Christy Clutts (Chad).

Seven Grandchildren Bobby Clutts ( Shelia), Ashlie Hughes (John), Shenna Ridings (Joe) Jessica Carr (Bill), Brayden Hale Rosson ( Whitney), Taryn Qualm (Jon), Kalyn Hale (Jorge).
Along with many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She is a sister to Bill Childers (Karen), Susie Berkey, Burnett Coles and Alvin Childers.

John 3:16

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Abundant Life Fellowship and burial at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Fellowship. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
