Obituary

Mary Ann Leggans, 77, passed away at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday, June 9,2020, at her residence in Cobden, Illinois.

Mary was born on November 27, 1942, in Murphysboro, to Lawrence Jacob Stearn and Ruth (Anglin) Stearns.

She used to croquet and she enjoyed adult coloring. She loved to go out to eat with friends and go visiting people.

Mary had retired as a Certified Nursing Aid after working 20 1/2 years at the Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro, Illinois.

Mrs. Leggans was a former member of the V.F.W. Post # 7190 Ladies Auxiliary in Marion.

She is survived by two daughters Debra Ann Penrod and her husband Kevin Penrod of Cobden and Pamela Renee Leggans and her partner Gerri Keller of Trenton, Illinois;

two grandchildren Ethan Sean Penrod and Alyssa Diane Penrod, both of Cobden and a step granddaughter Kailey Keller of Trenton, IL;

and two brothers and two sisters Daniel Eugene Stearns, Martha June Knapp, John Stearns and Margaret Dawn File, all of Oregon.

There will be private gravesite services held at Casper Cemetery, Cobden, Illinois.
