Obituary

Meryl "Jerri" Geraldine Greene, 83, of Murphysboro and North Richland Hills, Texas, passed away at 5:16 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2020, in the Green Valley Nursing Home and Rehab of Green Valley, Texas.

Meryl was born on September 14, 1936, in Anna, Illinois, to Sidney Tripp and Pauline (Hill) Tripp.

She had been an office manager at several businesses and had been the secretary at Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro.

Mrs. Greene was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro.

Jerri married Ron Larson and to this union they had three children and five grandchildren:
Dana Larson and Arthur Aleman of Granite City, IL,

Amy and Michael of North Richland Hills, TX, and their children Vincent Potts, Sarah Kate Potts, Nathan Potts, Elizabeth Potts, and Amanda Potts;
and Jay and Amy Larson of Lansing,

four step children and their spouses: Darlene and Steven Jennings of Crawfordville, FL, Patrick and Stacia Greene of Seabrook, TX, Mike and Karen Greene of Georgetown, TX, and Mark and Laura Greene of Houston, TX

nine step grandchildren Rachel Stephens, Hayley Hood, Matthew Greene, Sean Greene, Eric Greene, Laura, Blake, Justin, and Sara Helieman;

two step great grandchildren including Mia English;

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Greene, and one grandson Christopher Aleman.

Her body will be cremated and then there will be a time to meet with the family with a gravesite service 2 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020,at Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

There will a time to pay respect to family from 12 to1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Pettett Funeral Home.

Memorials in memory of Jerri may be made to the Animal Shelter of the donor's choice.
