Pauline M. Leady, 87, of Murphysboro, passed away at 1:50 a.m.Friday, December 27, 2019, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Pauline was born on August 28, 1932, in Goreville, Illinois, to William and Frances Stokes.
She was a very hard worker, helping her husband at the farm and at the slaughter house.
Mrs. Leady was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro.
Pauline married Henry W. Leady on October 22, 1954, and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1982.
She is survived by three children including John Leady and his fiancee Ashlie Hughes, both of Murphysboro;
several grandchildren including Mallory Leady and Kelsey Tarrant; great grandchildren including William Martin, Madilyn Anderer, Grayson Tarrant, and Corbin Tarrant;
and one sister Irene Phillips of Carbondale.
She was preceded in death by one brother Frank Stokes, one sister, and her parents.
Her body will be cremated and gravesite services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020, at St. Andrew Cemetery with Rev. James Easton officiating. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Fellowship in Murphysboro. For more information, please visit www.pettettfuneralhome.com.
