Obituary for Steven Lee Crowden

Steven Lee Crowden, 41, of Daisy, Missouri, passed away at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Steven was born on August 21, 1978, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Troy Crowden and Betty Jo (Scholz) Crowden.

He worked as a landscaper and mulcher, he helped drive vehicles for the Amish, but his greatest job was a stay-at-home dad.

Steven married Leticia Hernandez Crowden on February 13, 2020, at Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and she survives of Daisy, MO;

two children Sieanna Crowden and Noah Crowden, both of Daisy, MO;

one step daughter Angelica Prosser of Bloomington, IL;

one sister Sarah (Harry) Libbert of Marion; and one brother Michael Crowden of Ava.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an aunt Barb Emerson, and his grandmother Lucille Scholz.

Private family gravesite services will be held at Goodbread Cemetery, near Gorham, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. For more information, please visit

Im so sorry for your loss Letty my heart breaks for you and your kids ive known Steven almost my entire life he was definitely one of a kind he was family... My thoughts and prayers r with you if i could have brought nephew i would have been there steven was an amazing uncle to my girls even when there dad wasnt around u two tried for that i love ya both
